MEMORANDUM  OF  ASSOCIATION

Byelaws of the Pakistan Society of Neurosurgeons

 

Article I          NAME

This organization shall be known as “Pakistan Society of Neurosurgeons” with

 its registered office at Departments of Neurosurgery, Pakistan Institute of

Medical Sciences, Islamabad and Lahore General Hospital, Lahore.

Article II        OBJECTS

The objects of this Society are as under:

a)      Advancement in the field of Neurological Surgery in all its aspects.

b)     To facilitate the personal association of Neurosurgeons.

c)      To exchange and disseminate knowledge and ideas in the field of

         Neurological Surgery.

d)     To encourage research in Neurological Surgery and allied areas of

         Neurosciences.

e)     To facilitate association and exchange of knowledge with other such

        organizations.

Article III       QUALIFICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP

              The following will be qualified to be member of the society:

a)     A medical graduate with a postgraduate qualification in

        Neurosurgery e.g., FCPS (NS), MS (NS), FRCS (NS), American

        Diplomat (NS).

b)     A medical graduate with a postgraduate qualification and minimum

        of three years experience in Neurosurgery.

c)     A medical graduate who has completed the training and

        requirement and is now eligible to appear in FCPS part II

        Neurosurgery examination.

d)     A medical graduate whose thesis of MS in Neurosurgery has

        been accepted and is now eligible to appear in MS

        Neurosurgery examination.

e)     A medical graduate with atleast 10 years experience in a

        recognized Neurosurgical centre.
