Article IV
GENERAL BODY
The General Body
will comprise of members of the Society. But will not
include Honorary
Members & Associate Members. The General Body will
be responsible for:
a)
All
decisions including removal of a member and amendment in
the
memorandum of the society will require 2/3rd majority of members present in the meeting.
b)
The
General Body shall elect various members of the Executive Council.
Article V EXECUTIVE COUNCIL
a)
The
Executive Council shall consist of President, Senior Vice President,
Vice President, General Secretary, Secretary Press and Publications,
Finance Secretary and Joint Secretary.
b) The
various office bearers of the Executive Council will hold the
office
for a period of 2 years, up to the end of the 2nd Annual
Meeting.
Article VI ELECTION OF THE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL
The nominations for the various office bearers of the Executive
Council will
be proposed by one and seconded by another member. Each office
bearer
shall be elected by a simple majority of the General Body.
Article VII FUNCTIONS & POWERS OF THE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL
a) The
Executive Council shall be responsible for managing the affairs
of
the Society, organization of the general meetings, special
general body meetings and the scientific meetings.
b) The
executive Council may also form/constitute an
organizing committee
for the scientific meetings.
Article VIII
Vacancy
Any casual vacancy
occurring in the office of the Executive Council will be
filled by the
Executive Council by nominating any one from the members
of the General Body
who will hold the office until the next annual general
meeting or special
general body meeting.
